    Lee Kojanis, DDS
    President

    Lee Kojanis, DDS,  earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and graduated with honors from New York University College of Dentistry in 2014.  He subsequently completed a highly reputable 4yr Oral & Maxillofacial surgery program at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center specializing in complex facial trauma, TMJ surgery, jaw corrective surgery, Head and Neck Cancer, Implantology, facial reconstruction, outpatient sedation, botox/fillers, and dental rehabilitation cases.  A significant amount of his training was dedicated to the use of computer guided virtual surgical planning, and the use of custom surgical guides for the correction of dento-facial deformities, jaw defects, facial trauma, and placement of dental implants.  During his final year of residency he held the position of Executive Chief Resident.  

    Dr Kojanis is Co-Owner of Premier Oral Surgery Group, a private group practice in Bergen County NJ with two office locations.  Dr. Kojanis is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU/Bellevue Hospital center where he spends time teaching and operating with residents.  He is also Section Chief of Oral Surgery at Englewood Hospital Medical Center in Bergen County, New Jersey.

    Dr. Kojanis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as the American Dental Association, New Jersey Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Association, and the Bergen County Dental Society. He holds active certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.

    Personal interests include traveling, exercise, tennis, art history, and exploring New York City.  He was awarded the Rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 18. He is also a WSET Level 3 Wine Professional. 

    Dr. Kojanis maintains active dental and general sedation licenses in New York and New Jersey.

    Hunter J. Martin, DDS, MD, FACS
    Vice President

    Hunter J. Martin, DDS, MD, FACS was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and her Doctorate of Dental Sciences from New York University College of Dentistry. She received her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training from New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center which included obtaining her Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine. She was a clinical attending at Bellevue Hospital Center from 2019-2021 and joined Northwell Health in November 2020 where she currently serves as the interim Program Director for the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program. She practices full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with a specific interest in orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma and benign pathology.

  • Patrick Nolan
    Patrick Nolan, DDS
    Past President

    Patrick Nolan, DDS, is Director of Implant Dentistry and Assistant Professor, Department of Dentistry at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Nolan specializes in dental implant rehabilitation, orthognathic surgery, jaw bone and nerve reconstruction surgery, alveolar cleft surgery, treating temporomandibular joint disfunction and facial pain, and outpatient intravenous sedation.  

    After receiving his Bachelor of Science at Miami University in Ohio in 2004, Dr. Nolan continued his education at The Ohio State University earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2008.  He completed his postdoctoral training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Montefiore Einstein in 2012. Dr. Nolan was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in recognition of his outstanding achievements in teaching.

    Dr. Nolan is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

    He serves as the President of the William F. Harrigan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is the team oral surgeon to the New York City Football Club of Major League Soccer.  Personal interest include traveling, soccer, tennis, running half-marathons, and dining in New York City.

    Claudine Cafferata, DDS
    Treasurer

    Dr. Claudine Cafferata, DDS was raised on Long Island and currently lives there with her husband and son.  Dr. Cafferata has been in private practice since completing her surgical residency at NYU Langone Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital Center in 2008. Dr. Cafferata also received her DDS from NYU College of Dentistry in 2004. Dr. Cafferata is a part-time faculty at NYU College of Dentistry in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department.

    Dr. Cafferata also maintains privileges at NYU Langone Medical Center and Nassau University Medical Center for hospital based Oral Surgery procedures.

    Dr. Claire Leewing
    Director of Education

    Dr. Claire Leewing was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She attended the University of Toronto, earning a Bachelor's in Physical Health and Education with High Honours, and then graduated from the University of Southern California with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Leewing went on to complete her internship and four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein School of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. Outside of surgery, Dr. Leewing enjoys volleyball, yoga, cycling, dancing and traveling.

    Scott Fauvell, DDS
    Past President

    Dr. Scott Fauvell, DDS completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Training at Nassau University Medical Center. Prior to his surgery training Dr. Fauvell completed two years in the General Practice Residency at the same institution. The second year was as a full time Attending in the General Practice Residency where he continued as both a practitioner and teacher in a heavily based Restorative, Prosthodontic, Cosmetic and Implant dentistry program.
